End Well Live with Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider

I’m thrilled to join Dr. Shoshana Ungerleider for this live conversation about palliative and end of life care. An internal medicine physician, writer, and advocate, Dr. Ungerleider’s organization End Well is founded upon her belief that all people should experience the end of life in a way that matches their values and goals. The End Well Live series is a weekly, virtual conversation about how in this unprecedented time of crisis, we can collectively find community and best support those facing serious illness, support caregivers and families.

Dr. Ungerleider helped me navigate my father’s transition into a palliative care model, then to hospice care, toward the end of his battle with Alzheimer’s. I’m very grateful to her, and I hope you’ll tune in.

Virtual Book Launch

Please pour yourself a drink and join me and my dear friend Boston Globe columnist Meredith Goldstein for a virtual Q&A/book launch, in partnership with the Harvard Book Store. That photo is from a trip we took to Ireland and Scotland last year, frolicking with sheep, accidentally booking romantic dinners in castles, and getting lost in something called a Courtship Maze.

'Let's Never Talk About This Again,' comes out in hardcover today! Kirkus calls it "a vividly written, compassionate homage to a beloved and eccentric parent," I call it "a book about my strict father's secret life as a punny erotica writer, plus middle school sucked. Now with more American Revolution references!"

The book is available for preorder here, I'm very excited for you to read it.
